This ceramic butterfly sculpture is loosely inspired by swallow butterflies. I slip cast a sphere from a plaster mould I have made myself. I then hand carve out the wings. After the first firing I hand decorate free hand then re fire to approximately 1220 degrees. The bolts are fired in so have melted into the pot. So can’t be removed. Approximate size 13cm x13cm. This piece is purely ornamental.
