This ceramic butterfly sculpture is loosely inspired by swallow butterflies. I slip cast a sphere from a plaster mould I have made myself. I then hand carve out the wings. After the first firing I hand decorate free hand then re fire to approximately 1220 degrees. The bolts are fired in so have melted into the pot. So can’t be removed. Approximate size 18cm x20cm.
